Jeremy did this drawing yesterday at school. It's a picture of people fighting with lightsabers and it really surprised me. Of course, it's clear where the lightsabers come from, but it's the first time Jeremy has drawn people that I know about. The pictures below are far more typical of Jeremy's current style, particularly the grid pattern. I usually ask Jeremy if his pictures are of and he'll usually say something like "a starship" or the "Millennium Falcon" even when they look like this (in fact, I believe the one on the right is the Millennium Falcon). Some of his others have been more random bursts of colors, but even his representation drawing tend to come off as more abstract. And that's what makes this picture of people so surprisingly.

I asked Jeremy this morning, "how did you know how to draw the people?"
"I don't know."
" Did someone show you how to do it?"
"No."
"Did you just make it up by yourself?"
"Yeah." He smiled and seemed pretty proud of himself, and rightly so.
