I went for a walk today on some town conservation land with the local conservation administrator. It was a purposeful walk to discuss upcoming trail maintenance, but I decided to take Jeremy all the same. The other person didn't mind and I was pretty sure Jeremy wouldn't slow things down at all. And, I was thinking about all the times that I carried Harry around during the mornings we used to spend together in the city and how infrequently I've been able to do that with Jeremy. His mother picked Harry up from daycare and spent some time alone with him and I carried Jeremy on a nature walk. The walk did last a little longer than I had planned (though not due to Jeremy) and Jeremy is much heavier than I remember Harry being, but I'm getting to know Jeremy a lot better now and that's what it was all about.
