I'm starting to believe actually prefers listening to classical music to any of the random pop or rock stations that I cycle through in the car. He's been asking for "songs" with a "cello" in them since he started taking lessons and at first I thought it was just the idea of knowing a cello was playing, whether that be in a pop song (admittedly infrequent, but by no means an oxymorom) or in something on a classical station. Now I think that he just prefers the sounds from the classical station.

Harry, the drummer, can go either way. He's less overt about expressing a real preference, but there have been times when he's told me to stop scanning, "I want to do that one," when I've landed on a pop/rock station and times when I've landed on a classical station. I must admit to being rather proud of that.
