We bought these rain boots for Harry (yellow) and Jeremy (black and red firefighter) a couple of months ago when it became clear that Harry's snow boots were just not big enough. I don't know why we thought last fall we could get through the winter, but when he said his feet were hurting we knew that we had to do something. The trouble was that I took them to several stores and none had winter boots on the shelves in late February. We found these rain boots at target and I figured that the worst of winter was probably over for the season and maybe an extra pair of socks would make these warm enough in March and April. The gamble paid off thanks to the mild winter and now the boys can be boys wading in the stream with these completely waterproof rain boots.

This afternoon we took the boys to the annual spring carnival that comes to town each May. I might have thought that Harry would have been too old for this little motorcycle ride that just goes around in a slow circle, but he was pretty happy joking around with Jeremy.

They both still love the helicopters.
