This little girl from the Muck Dogs is named Emma and she's from Harry kindergarten class. She also attended Harry's birthday party back in December, although she wasn't really invited in the traditional sense. It was really our fault, I'm sure, because we were trying to limit the number of kids that would be coming and Harry was rattling off a long list of friends. We were resigned to the fact that Harry would include both boys and girls given his close friendship with Hadley. Indeed, we figured Hadley shouldn't be the only girl at a party that consisted mostly of boy kinds of activities, so Harry invited a girl named Gracie. But it turned out that Gracie had a fraternal twin sister, Emma, and when their mother called to inquire about it we certainly didn't want to have one and not the other.

Yet a funny thing started to happen a few weeks later. Even though Hadley came over for a play date in January, by early February there were signs that Hadley and Harry relationship was not quite as tight as it once had been. What's more, Harry around that same time started talking more about this girl Emma, the much more feminine of the twins compared to her tom-boy sister, Gracie. That said, lately Harry's actually been talking more about Gracie. I guess he's playing the field.
