When did all this pretend play start? I think it was about the time when Harry realized about playing with other kids, but it's hard to really say. Of course, Harry's been pretending for a couple of years really, but within the last couple of months the scenarios have become much more complex: mimicking me "working" or turning props into very specific objects or animals and setting actions. These are the kind of imaginary scenes I'd expect for several years to come; indeed, all of childhood if not longer. And, they have started already.
