Jeremy had a really good cello lesson today, and it's about time. After doing well after I initially talked with him about it a while ago, Jeremy slipped into his old attitude thing and last week I had to talk to him again. Actually, I didn't talk to him as much as just stopped playing his new car game of guessing which compartment in the car he'd hid something in. I told him I didn't want to play his game because I was very disappointed at what he was doing during the lesson. I also told him I was very disappointed because he'd seemed so interested in learning the cello lately and that I had been very excited about that. So, who knows which affected him more this week: my posturing last week on the way home or his own musical breakthrough over the last couple of weeks.
