After about a year of Jeremy picking "cello music" to listen to at night, Harry has finally gotten into the act. Actually, Harry's asked before, but since loud drum music is not all that conducive to going to sleep I hadn't really given Harry much chance. But then a little while ago I agreed that maybe some "quiet drumming jazz" might be OK at bedtime. Now it's a bit of a race between the two boys, actually mostly Harry, to see who can asked for their music first. Of course, Harry's still way behind Jeremy in terms of knowing the music. Jeremy will asked for the "Bach cellos suites," "Brahms [Piano trios]" by name, or a specific CD by the design on the front: "four chairs," referring to the Emerson String Quartet's Bach: Art of the Fugue, or "lights," referring to Yo-yo Ma's Le Belle Epoque. Showing that he's still just a regular kid, he also still throws in "Twinkle, Twinkle" every now and then, referring to the Suzuki cello CD with Variations on Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star as the first several tracks. Harry, who hasn't had nearly the time to learn the options, justs asks for "quiet drumming jazz," or is he saying "quiet drum and jazz." At least it's his music.
